Happy birthday!
I have a suggestion, to mark safe sites you could have a single letter subdomain. Like y.bit.ly for youtube, b.bit.ly for BBC, t.bit.ly for twitter and so on. It would mean people can click on the link without having to think about the risks from that link source.
