I forgot about the bit.ly API, I'm going to have to revisit that. Looking forward to the API contest as well!

We're considering integrating bit.ly into our web based CRM, to make proposal links shorter. Thanks for the API!

We also started using the bit.ly api for sharing TeachStreet links on twitter and other sites, using our vanity domain "tch.st"!

Good to hear you're making it into the mainstream.

I'm using the API in my site to short links and I'm using my own url shortener service to share pictures and videos on twitter.
    Thanks

What advantage does cbs.bit.ly provide over other short urls from bit.ly? cbs.bit.ly/xyz takes me to the same place bit.ly/xyz or mayanks.bit.ly/xyz. I discussed this on hacker news earlier http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=786955

This is a significant development. Though I do not upload pictures. But I am happy to see this development. I basically like the Analytics support in bit.ly. It helps me to monitor how many people really went through the link I am posting

With regard to the API functionality, it would be nice to be able to get the history of shortened links created by the account accessing the API.

Can you make bit.ly so that you can sort tweets so for example you can see the most clicked in order?

    Hi,
This isn't a suggestion for feedback nor is it exactly fitting in this area, but I wanted to point out that the URL-stats for the main part of the bit.ly page showed 2 total clicks for my latest shortcut while the Top8 on the right-hand side for the last few minutes or so showed 9.clicks.

Waiting another minute, my full-history of clicks for that shortcut went to 3 while the Top8 entry for this stayed at 9.

It hasn't caught up beyond that, staying at 6 full clicks for some time now while 9 is still showing in the Top8 box.

    Something's a trifle amiss? :-)

History still doesn't show... It just keeps loading but nothing happens... when will it be fixed? Thanks!

I have a question. I recently setup my Facebook Fanpage to link to my Twitter account. I just set up a bit.ly account, as I noticed that is what Facebook is using. Now how do I link these together and bit.ly keep up with the clicks back to my fanpage? It doesn't seem to realize these are connected, and I can't really see where that would be done. I set up the link in my bit.ly to my Twitter, but how to connect to Facebook is the question, so they all know they are related? Is that possible? Thanks so much for your help!

We're adding Bitly services to our http://www.PressReleasePivot.com service. Very nice work, gents!

Very good idea to use j.mp. I use Lymme, it's very simple and you can easily manage your urls and sort them by hits etc. + it has a .com domain for people that feel safer to use .com.

It's currently in beta, but yea, it's open http://www.Lymme.com

Not sure where else to post this, but now that twitter-automated url shortening is using bit.ly, can we access stats for those links?? I tried synching bit.ly with my twitter account, which I hadn't done previously, but it still doesn't pick those links up in the "click here to covert them" area. I do see now that I can get stats one-by-one through bit.ly's search function, and I can track them if I use the same url in a new tweet. Not as good as simply converting them as the "click here.." button suggests, but not bad.

Wondering why my bit.ly homepage isn't showing the links I create through the API or with other applications like Tweetdeck.

Is this normal? I would expect that all bit.ly links are captured and displayed, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Exactly how does this work?

I tried finding info on this, but couldn't. Resorting to here, sorry if inappropriate.

would love to see an RSS feed / blog widget that allows me to post my "recently bit.ly'd links"

Good for very long for long domain name but I think every one take name of domain which suitable according to their desire but this tiny url is not having any meaning and also not according to the site.
